SIU Announces New Green Campus Initiative to Advance Sustainability in Higher Education

Swiss International University (SIU), a member of the VBNN Smart Education Group, has announced a new milestone in its commitment to environmental responsibility with the launch of its Green Campus Initiative 2026, a strategic framework aimed at integrating sustainability into teaching, operations, and student life. This development marks one of the most significant sustainability expansions within the institution and reinforces SIU’s alignment with international SDG goals.

Green Campus Initiative 2026: A Vision for the Future

2. Digital Transformation & Paperless Learning

Already recognized for its advanced e-learning ecosystem, the university is further reducing paper use through 100% digital admissions, e-exams, digital certificates, and cloud-based academic resources.

3. Curriculum with Purpose

New academic modules and workshops introduce students to sustainability principles, environmental leadership, responsible management, and sustainable development frameworks.

4. Community and Global Engagement

SIU encourages students and staff to participate in environmental volunteering, green innovation projects, and joint sustainability campaigns within Switzerland and internationally.
